''Alangium salviifolium (L. f.) Wangerin'' , commonly known as Sage-leaved alangium is a flowering plant in the Alangiaceae family. It is also commonly known as Ankolam in Malayalam, Ankola in Kannada, Akola or Ankol in Hindi and Alanji in Tamil.
